I have written several nastygrams via the FEEDBACK link on the MSN homepage but I’m betting that it’s there simply for the hosts to go to everyday to have a good laugh and to see who wrote the most incensed complaint about their site. After the forth or fifth iteration I started calling Outlook LOOKOUT!!! It seemed appropriate. It soon became apparent that it was a platform for severely handicapped children who work there to continually change the format seemingly to justify having a job. When they initially changed Hotmail to Outlook I was PO’d but had to try to work with it. Like every other person who commented here about Hotmail, I agree….it worked and was fine to use. What imbecile got paid to do THAT? On top of all of that is their gawdawful Outlook email. The MSN homepage has gotten progressively worse and worse culminating with their newest offense of their clickbait picture stories that have a blank page that puts all the rest of the pictures out of sync with the text under the picture. Hotmail, Live, and MSN account users who aren’t enjoying the new and want to switch back to the old Hotmail user interface (layout) can simply click on the Settings “cog” icon present in upper right of page and then click Switch back to Hotmail user interface. Please note that it might take an hour or more for your new address to appear in the Microsoft products and services you use.įrom now onwards, you can use the previous email address to sign in to all Microsoft services just like you used it before. You will see “You’ve changed your Microsoft account and your new Microsoft account is ”. Step 5: In the New Microsoft account box, type in your previous email address and also select your previous domain (Hotmail or Live) and finally click Save button. Step 4: Head over to this page in your web browser and make sure that Create a new email address is selected. You will see “You’ve removed an email address from your Microsoft account” message. Perhaps this kind of email should be marked as "SPAM" to warn Google mail developer.Step 3: Under Other email addresses, click the Remove link (that appears below your current email address) and then click Remove button to confirm. It just gives spammer ways to phish users: pour in tons of similar spam, people will think clicking the link will "fix" the spamming problem. That email actually is a terrible google email registration process that shouldn't be crafted in the first place. So you don't need to do anything with it. If somebody wrongly enters their recovery email address, their Gmail account will not be activated. If you read through the message, you will notice most people will ask you DON'T CLICK any HTML link from an email. It is mentioned here in google product forum. Somebody accidentally enters your email address as recovery email (either due to typo or other reasons) There is another possibility mentioned here. If you hover over the URL, you will see the actual URL are NOT from Google, but some unknown site or shorten URL that will trigger a screen that downloads a malware(AKA Computer virus) or phishing site to trick you to enter Google username and password. This message is yet another variant of malicious spoof spam mail tries to trick you to click the link that says " click here to disconnect". The disconnect link doesn't look like a phishing one, it is in this form: It seems unlikely that my address was added as recovery email by mistake, so I am wondering if UNKONWN_PERSON or someone else had any malicious intent While clicking the disconnect link seems the obvious action, I am not sure that this is enough. Where MY_EMAIL_ADDR is my email address, to which the message was sent. You received this message because MY_EMAIL_ADDR is listed as the recovery email for If is not your Google Account, click here to disconnect from that account and stop receiving emails. They have no resemblance to mine and even belong to a different culture. Where UNKONWN_PERSON and UNKONWN_ACCOUNT are total strangers to me. Your Google Account was just used to sign in from SOME_BROWSER on SOME_OS I just received a "New sign-in" notification email from Google, saying
